The article is devoted to the problem of effective provision of professional psychosocial assistance to children under martial law. It is noted that psychosocial assistance to children and adolescents who have had a traumatic experience will largely depend on their individual psychological characteristics. For many children, traumatic experiences have effects that last much longer and can develop into post-traumatic stress disorder. The main stages of providing psychosocial assistance to children during martial law are highlighted. It is suggested that the specialist establish an initial emotional and positive psychological contact with the child. The main goal: reducing emotional tension in a child or teenager; formation of emotional and trusting contact of the specialist with the child. When establishing psychological contact with a child, it is necessary to take into account its age characteristics. the main form of work with the child should be individual. At the final stages, you can also use group forms of work. According to practical experience, the following are the most effective methods and techniques: fairy-tale therapy, art therapy, play therapy, hippotherapy, etc. The choice of method or technique will depend on how strong the traumatic event was, the age and individual characteristics of the child. Assessment of the psycho-emotional state of the child can be carried out with the help of the same methods and techniques that were used within the scope of diagnostics and individual work with the child
